Fate/extra Ccc 1/7 Scale Pre-painted Figure Saber One-piece Dress Review

I haven't written a review in a long time so why not first up again with Alphamax'due south 1/7 Calibration Saber EXTRA One Piece Vers. This is the get-go non-GK figure of Saber EXTRA in her casual clothing from the game Fate Extra CCC. It is based off the artwork by the incredible Rco Wada.

*Delight Note* Like most reviews this volition be photograph heavy, though I will try to go along images small and various ones under spoiler tags. Also I am attempting more critical reviews. A score of 7-8 in whatsoever area is not BAD. vii-8 to me will be Good/Very Good while nine-x volition be what I consider exceptional. Having a score of vii does NOT mean the figure has any flaws itself.

~Packaging~

Saber came in a rather large box with a red checkerboard background with very faint rose images. In that location are gold filigree motifs virtually information technology along with photos of the effigy itself on the sides and back. I do like the shape of the windows on the top and sides and they give off a thou air, outlined in the gold grid. She tin can exist seen adequately well viewed and displayed in the box thanks to the corporeality of windows letting in low-cal. The inner box is a xanthous cheque blueprint to match the exterior. Information technology's not an outstanding box blueprint simply I am very happy with Alphamax's attention to giving Saber Actress her royal and extravagant aureola with the gilded and roses.

~Base~

I REALLY dearest Saber's base of operations. I had been disappointed with Skillful Smile Company'south 1/7 Saber Actress every bit information technology had no signs of her iconic rose which Alphamax pretty much made upward for in spades. The base is non unnecessarily large and has merely the perfect corporeality of amuse to it. There is a bit of transparent layers so the peak of the rose is non flat. The effigy has no issue standing because of this and it adds an actress dimension to the base of operations, giving a boost to the glossy deep reddish cherry of the paint.

I want to give the base of operations a score of 10 but there is one slight effect. Only i of Saber'due south shoes pegs down into the base. It is a sturdy peg and I exercise not experience that she will lean but because of this her right human foot is slightly floating above the base. Thanks to the base not being flat it is inappreciably noticeable especially displayed from the front but she does wobble a bit when moved.

~Sculpting, Posing, & Painting~

Upon close exam I was happy to find no pigment defects, seam lines, or any real problems at all on my Saber. Her pose and dress are rather unproblematic yet every little detail is washed with care. The many pleated folds on her dress are wonderfully sculpted and look soft to the affect. Folds are sculpted exactly where they should be from the pose on both her dress and socks. The paint is rather matte on virtually of her outfit save for her sleeky carmine bootie style pumps. They even have a slight viscid feel, merely non in a bad way. Information technology feels simply like patent leather. The but flaw on her wearing apparel would be that the blackness straps on the dorsum exercise not actually connect to her ruby dress. This is very pocket-size though equally it tin merely be found on very shut examination at the right bending.

A piddling actress attention now to her face up sculpt and eyes as I call back some prospective buyers were worried how it would turn out in person. Rco Wada's biggest giveaway in her fine art to me is how she illustrates her eyes. I did not feel like either Kotobukiya or GSC'south initial Saber EXTRA's were able to capture the way of Wada'south eyes just Alphamax's Saber does a skillful job. There is a dreamy presence and you can almost sink into the shades of greenish in Saber'south eyes much similar in Wada'southward original fine art.
Saber'south smile is also interestingly sculpted, capturing the slight devious yet cute nature of Saber. It is actually molded into her faceplate, thus the mouth itself is a small crevice. There is a slight glossy pink inside the mouth giving off the feel of lipstick or a bit of her inner oral cavity showing. It's a fiddling odd to look at upward close by itself since it's a bit wavy. Pretty much the :iii face up sculpted. With the overall face sculpt though information technology looks very nice. Her blonde hair is pretty matte also but there is a sense of shading about the tips and her bangs. From the pigment to the sculpt the pilus gives off a soft feeling.

I gotta give the parasol it'due south ain trivial plug. This is one FINE looking accompaniment, one of the all-time I've seen. While Saber and her apparel were pretty matte at that place'southward a lot of different paint and finishes going on with the parasol. The sculpt of the frills, lace, and bows is all on point. Even the inner parasol'south metal frame looks very real. I especially similar the attention to item on the parasol's outer frills and the tip which have a very sleeky cease. The handle is it's own unique shade of maroon. I adore Saber'south figure itself but damn. This is a actually, actually nice accompaniment with as much detailing and care put into it as Saber herself.

Pink and lacy. You tin can't meet them too much merely there's a lot of squeamish fiddling detailing in the creases nigh it. I like that information technology matches her outfit.

~Overall Thoughts~
I'chiliad a huge fan of Rco Wada if that hasn't been impressed however and Saber EXTRA is my favorite "variant" of Saber due to her haughty and grandiose nature. Honestly, the overall figure is somewhat simple compared to many other scales in my collection. She is in what is essentially a cute nightie subsequently all. But for what it is Alphamax made it as interesting as possible while staying faithful to the original artwork. I actually prefer her to my GSC Saber Actress despite the former having a lot more going on. If you're a Saber fan, Rco Wada fan, or just like cute girls in cute outfits and then I would definitely recommend grabbing her. She is a fleck pricey for a somewhat unproblematic one/7 scale at over 10,000JPY but I take no regrets on the purchase. And again, best damn PVC parasol I have ever seen.
